Meet Donna

Donna has been a dedicated volunteer with Caregiver Volunteers for over 18 years! When Superstorm Sandy hit….Donna agreed to coordinate our online shopping program and hasn’t stopped since!  She has been instrumental in getting this program off the ground. It continues to grow in number of receivers we help and volunteers willing to shop, especially during this difficult year. Throughout CoVid 19 Donna has literally placed 100s of orders around the clock to ensure our receivers do not go without food.  She goes above and beyond daily to provide food security for our homebound.  As you can see….when disaster strikes…we can count on Donna.  We are grateful to have her on our team!!

Meet Grace

What would we do without Grace Otto Kurak… we hope we never have to find out!   Grace trained with Caregiver Volunteers on November 16, 2017 and has been a dedicated volunteer ever since.  Every time the Caregiver’s staff calls Grace, the phrase “I’ll do it” comes out of her mouth before we even finish the question.  Grace completes home assessments for our regular program, EZ Ride Program and Alzheimer’s Respite Care Program.  She transports multiple times per week, food shops, visits and provides reassurance calls to more than one receiver.  She is our go to person for last minute situations and has helped to coordinate getting our receivers and volunteers vaccinated.  Grace always has a smile on her face no matter the circumstances put in front of her.  We are blessed to have the most dedicated group of volunteers, no words can express our gratitude to Grace and all the volunteers that help us support the seniors in our community.

Meet Pat

When Pat joined Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey in 1999, she had recently retired as a social worker and counselor; she was hoping to find a volunteer opportunity in the field she loved so much.  Pat says she has always felt blessed in so many ways and was always taught to give back when possible.  Her heart and faith agreed with that so when she found Caregivers it was a perfect match!  Pat trained with Caregiver Volunteers in December of 1999 and has been a dedicated and very busy volunteer for over 20 years.  As a volunteer, Pat believes she has received so much more than just fulfilling her need to help.  She has met such wonderful people, shared great stories and made so many friends.  Whether just a ride to the doctor or sitting with an Alzheimer’s care receiver, she now has over 20 years of wonderful memories that she cherishes
