Free Grocery Shopping and Delivery Service for Homebound Seniors

Toms River, NJ (July 3, 2017)-The nonprofit agency, Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey (CVCJ) offers a grocery shopping and delivery service, every two weeks and free of charge, to Ocean County seniors, veterans, elderly disabled, and those with dementia, who are at least 60 years old and no longer drive. To learn more about the program or register, call 732.505.2273 or email info@caregivervolunteers.org.

Once registered, seniors can call 732.505.2273 and a thoroughly screened Volunteer is selected to pick up their shopping list and payment, visit the grocery store to shop, and deliver their order free of charge every two weeks.

Joann participates in the program and shared her experience. “When I run out of something I need, it’s good to know Carol will come by every two weeks and pick it up for me. She’s so dependable. I look forward to her visits because it’s nice to have someone to talk to.”

CVCJ also offers medical transportation, family caregiver relief, and companionship so seniors can remain independent and socially connected in their own homes.

If you or someone you know would like to register for the CVCJ grocery shopping service, call 732-505-2273, or email info@caregivervolunteers.org. To learn more about other CVCJ in-home programs, visit caregivervolunteers.com, or go to Facebook @caregivervolunteers.
