This Year’s Dance Couples

Marisol and Connor Here we are! They are the sweet and spicy, the dynamic duo, and the king and queen of senior health care services in Central Jersey. Marisol Zapata is a spunky ball of energy that has been a caregiver for 20 years, spreading sunshine, love, and care at Harrogate. Her love for Disney is to Infinity and Beyond! Connor Marshall is the rarest of all Southern gentleman, a millennial renaissance man. Sweet as a Georgia peach, and in addition to being the Administrator at Harrogate, Connor is an avid coffee drinker and outdoor sportsman. He also shares Marisol’s love for Disney with his suave “Hakuna Matata” mentality. They promise to drop the mic at the CVCJ Dancing with Their Stars competition!	Rose and Greg The stars aligned when these two Leos met and it has been a fiery romance since. Celebrating 4 years together and their first wedding anniversary this May, Rose & Greg are passionate about everything they do. They live the cliché perfect life-white picket fence, perfect little girl Sophia, cat, dog… need I say more? Rose & Greg love to listen to music, travel and explore new breweries & wineries. The couple both work in Healthcare they actually met in long term care- Rose’s first healthcare stepping stone- she is the Admissions/Marketing Director for the newly acquired Marquis facility, Crest Pointe in Point Pleasant, by day… as well as esthetician by night.  Don’t let Greg’s youthful looks fool you; this hunk has been in healthcare over 20 years! He is currently the Social worker and community liaison at Physicians Dialysis in Brick.
Heidi and Mike Heidi and Mike Palombi have been married 10 years, have 3 children and 4 grandchildren. Heidi spent 6 years as Edie Falco’s stand in on the Soprano’s. She is now a Hospice chaplain with Homeside Hospice. Mikes is an author and his passion is Prison recovery ministry. Mike founded Prisoners of Hope Ministries and travels the country with Heidi sharing this message of hope.  Heidi and Mike are so excited to be showing off their dancing skills to benefit CVCJ!	Diane and Kerry Kerry Stevens and Diane Bansback met on a blind date setup by their mutual friend, Sherri —- and now they are engaged!! Kerry is an Attorney, and Diane works for the FAA Technical Center. Kerry is a Bronx boy and Diane a South Jersey Girl. They live by the Shore with their pup, Flynn.  They look forward to stepping out on the dance floor for this great cause!
Loretta and Craig Craig Sydor is the Executive Director for Chelsea Senior Living of Toms River, NJ.  He has been married to his wife, Corinne for 25 years and is a father of one, Ryan, age 20 who is currently a sophomore at Brookdale Community College pursuing a Business Degree.  Loretta Shopene is a Hospice Development Specialist at Embracing Hospicecare located in Wall NJ.  Loretta has worked as a Senior advocate in the health care industry for 16 years. Loretta is also the Vice President of the Ocean County Chapter of Business Women Networking in Charity and Education, an organization that works to aid against domestic violence. Loretta is a wife and mother of two, Madison and Cole. Craig and Loretta have never been known to be great dancers, however, they are not one to turn down a good challenge, especially one for such a wonderful cause.	Katie and Chris Chris Slavicek is the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Chelsea Senior Living.  A Certified Assisted Living Administrator and Certified Dementia Practitioner, Chris also consults as an instructor for the New Jersey Assisted Living Administrators course. He is engrossed in his hometown community of Helmetta, where he currently serves as Mayor. Katie Chambers, End of Life Doula of Holisticare Hospice has over 20 years progressive healthcare experience. Katie is an active member of the Greater Toms River Chamber of Commerce, serves on the Southern Ocean Ethics Committees, is the Ocean County facilitator of Caring Connections and proudly serves on their board. Katie is also a volunteer for Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey.
Sue and Dr. Raymond Sue is a resident of Wall Twp. where she resides with her husband Dave, who sits on the Board of Directors for CVCJ. He is the CFO for Atlantic Physical Therapy Center, also a loyal corporate supporter of CVCJ. They are parents to 3 children Marley (11yrs), Olivia (9yrs) and Jaxon (5yrs). Sue is a graduate of Clemson University with a B.S. in Biological Science and Secondary Education. She traded in her career as a pharmaceutical sales representative with Alcon and Merck to stay home and raise their 3 amazing children! Dr. Raymond Esquieres is a fellowship-trained, board certified physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist at Brielle Orthopedics.  He completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at New Jersey Medical School/Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation at Rutgers University and went on to pursue a fellowship in Pain Medicine at UCLA (University of California).
