Cocktails & Cuisine Bash raised more than $30,000 for Alzheimer’s Caregivers

LAKEWOOD  – Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey (CVCJ) honored TD Bank, and raised more than $30,000 supporting CVCJ’s Alzheimer Respite Care Program (ARCP)  at CVCJ’s  22nd anniversary event  “Cocktails & Cuisine” November 10 at Eagle Ridge Golf Club, Lakewood.

TD Bank, supporters of CVCJ’s mission to provide free assistance to Ocean County’s elderly residents and families of Alzheimer’s patients, was honored for its many contributions and years of service to the community.  Leo DiGioia, a Vice-President of TD Bank and longtime Board Member of CVCJ, accepted the award on behalf of TD Bank.

“We are delighted to be honoring TD Bank, an extraordinary model of support and service for our community,” said Lynette Whiteman, CVCJ Executive Director. “TD Bank has been behind the community 100%, providing an invaluable network of support, and we want to show our appreciation by recognizing them for their selfless action.”

More than 200 attended the 3 hour “Cocktails & Cuisine” event that featured an array of fabulous wines and specialty drinks along with mouth-watering gourmet foods provided by The View restaurant.  Attendees also participated in a premium Silent Auction featuring gifts for all ages, including jewelry, art, sports, and travel destinations.

CVCJ is a nationally recognized non-profit providing free assistance to the elderly, disabled, veterans, and Alzheimer’s patients and their caregivers. Funds raised will benefit the expansion of our Alzheimer’s Respite Care Program which provides free support to the Caregivers of those living with Alzheimer’s disease. Through a network of over 1,000 volunteers, they are devoted to helping people remain independent and live their lives with dignity and joy. Last year alone, over 35,000 hours of free volunteer service was provided to improve the lives of those in need.
